Bach - Partita no. 2 in C minor BWV 826 - Edwards | Netherlands Bach Society

In this ambitious, tricky Partita No. 2 – recorded here for All of Bach with Mark Edwards – Bach proceeds as a lighting technician. By placing a spotlight here and a colour filter there, he keeps showing you a different scene. From the dark and weighty ouverture with the dotted-note, stately rhythms of the French overture, to the lightning-fast two-part fugue, that eventually comes back to the earlier dotted rhythm.
